Just saw them live at The Music Hall. They are out of this world; other worldly for sure; mind blowing, trance enducing.

We were going to start, when we meet people, be like “Oh, you’re heterosexual? Oh, well that’s okay; we’re cool with that.” —

I received an incredible thank you note from my wonderful intern for All Things Gay, today. While it was an incredible year of learning and engaging, meeting and speaking with wonderful lgbtq people all over the map, this note means i made a difference, helped, impacted others’ lives..and that my friends is my whole reason for being:
Hey Emily!
I was so incredibly sad to hear this will be your last show for now! I want to let you know just how much I’ve enjoyed being able to listen to your shows and being able to talk about the guests you’ve interviewed with my friends and in my classes. It’s really been a joy.
One of my really great friends recently came out to me last week, and we had a long conversation about social stigmas attached to lgbtq people and how she believed it really hinders people in becoming successful in life. I directed her straight to your blog. The guests you’ve interviewed as well as you yourself really show how successful, intellectual, loving lgbtq people are. She’s listened to a few shows, and I think it’s really helping her accept herself and restore belief in herself.
If you’re okay with it, I’d love to keep archiving shows over the summer. Now that I won’t have as much work on my plate, It’ll be great to have something really worthwhile to do. I completely agree that this is a real service you’re doing and I’m moved to help out in any way I can.
I definitely had no idea what an awesome show I’d be working on when I sent you that email asking to help out.
Thank you so very much!
