Marianne is the author of the new lesbian novel, The Indelible Heart, a sequel to Love in the Balance. She is one of the best-selling lesbian authors in the country, and is also a founder of the lesbian publishing house, Bywater Books.

In this interview, Marianne discusses how the real-life daughter of the lesbian couple her characters are based on responded to her book, touches on life as a high school lesbian in the 60s, and later as a closeted gym teacher, plus her experience winning a court case for equal pay for women coaches in 1973.
